Malcolm,
Even though we've only known you for a few years, our relationship was special. Thank you for the faith you had in 18 Hands Gallery - first, with your own show then organizing the Penland Show. You are not only a fabulous and talented clay artist, but a generous and dear man. We will miss you terribly.
On a personal note, I will miss our correspondence - emails I was always eager to read & keeping you abreast of the goings on in Houston.
Thank you for touching our lives.
The earth binds us potters to one another; none of us are here without the other, so gratitude must be paid to this community of makers and creators... And then there is The Clay. None of us would be here today, struggling and surviving, creating and making, if it weren't for the power of the living earth that seduces, sustains and keeps us growing. Thanks to The Clay, to all those workers and makers over the millennia who paved our way.
